Fine Lines & Wrinkles Consultation
We find that concerns about wrinkles are commonly expressed by clients looking for advice. Although an inevitable part of life, we can offer various treatments that will help tackle these lines from medical grade topical skincare products (free from parabens, sulfates and dyes), through to various injectable preparations of hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin type A. Our qualified nurse prescriber is best suited to give you advice on what treatment would be most appropriate for you during the initial consultation. Whichever treatment is decided upon, our aim is to help you achieve a smoother more relaxed and fresh look.

Micro-Needling
Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT). It is an aesthetic medical procedure which involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with a grouping of tiny, sterile needles in order to induce tissue remodeling by producing more collagen. As this treatment requires your body to produce its own collagen and elastin through the healing process a treatment course is recommended. The process requires you to have a topical anesthetic cream applied at least 30 mins prior to the commencement of the treatment. Treatment can be applied to your face, hands and décolleté; it is also used to treat stretchmark’s and other forms of scarring.

Dermal fillers are injections of hyaluronic acid which are injected into the skin to reduce lines, wrinkles, add volume and redefine features. You can have dermal fillers in different parts of your face; around your eyes, cheeks, mouth and jawline as well as lip filler which is injected directly into the lip tissue. They are injected using a needle or cannula, the results of which can be seen immediately. We only use market leading high quality products that are FDA approved to ensure your safety. Our aim is to provide natural looking results that are subtle creating beautiful results.
A skin booster is a great alternative way of nourishing your skin. It is not a filler but and injectable hyaluronic acid especially designed to deliver hydration. Facial Skin Profile Assessment
A comprehensive facial skin assessment is important on first contact to establish a baseline position of the skin’s tone, moisture, temperature, texture, mobility and turgor, and the identification of any lesions. The assessment should be repeated on a regular basis to determine whether any changes to the skin’s condition have occurred. The goal of a skin assessment is to identify problem areas promptly and recommend effective treatments and prevention strategies. To assist with this process. We use the Observ Skin Analysis Device which is a crucial part of any facial skin assessment. The Observ allows us to look deeper below the skin surface.
Profhilo is our product choice here and is one of our most sought after treatments, often known as the ‘moisture jab’ or injectable moisturiser. Profhilo is an injectable form of hyaluronic acid which is injected into 5 points each side of the face to rehydrate, plump and smooth the skin from the inside out by providing extra moisture where it is needed but also bio-remodels the skin, stimulating the natural production of collagen and elastin to give the skin a glowing natural look. It can be used on the face, neck, decolletage, arms, hands and knees, or any part of your body where the skin shows signs of visible ageing. To benefit from the full results, it is advised a course of 3 treatment sessions 4 weeks apart.

At Dermatec Aesthetics we aim to create natural contours and an even-volume to the lips, which enhance people’s smile and address the signs of ageing in this crucial area of the face. Our market leading products, intended for use only by clinical practitioners, ensure good tissue integration and natural-looking results for all ages. The lips are a sensitive area and as such require pre-treatment topical aesthetic cream to be applied at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the procedure.
WOW Fusion is a three dimensional approach to skin health, it combines micro-needling, mesotherapy and skin nutrition into one treatment. The WOW Fusion medical device is expertly made to allow different high quality serums to be added, to create a bespoke skin care treatment. The device has a needle head containing 20 titanium 24k gold needles. These needles are very tiny and thin creating controlled trauma on the skin with minimal to no discomfort. The needles have a spiral groove running through the centre which allows the serums to be delivered into the skin and penetrate down to where they are needed most. The product becomes rapidly absorbed. It improves the luminosity of the skin and thickens the outer surface and also strengthens the dermis through mild collagen stimulation (CIT). To benefit from the full results, it is advised you have a course of 3 treatments 2 -4 weeks apart depending on your skin type/condition. Who will perform my procedure?
A fully qualified Registered Nurse with a high degree of competence and experience in all the treatments offered by the clinic, and who is obligated to meet demanding CPD requirements annually.
How do I know they are safe?
Your practitioner is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as licensed to practice within a strict code of professional conduct and is a fully registered independent prescriber.
Do I need a consultation?
Yes. Every new patient is required to undergo an assessment to discuss treatment goals and create and individual treatment plan.
How do I book an appointment?

What is the difference between dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections?
The primary difference is that dermal fillers replace volume that is lost through the normal aging process by plumping, lifting and smoothing the skin; anti-wrinkle injections, in the main, refer to prescription only medications that reduce the activity of muscles that cause wrinkles when the face is in motion.
